Fanny Mann, PhD

Institut de Biologie du Développement de Marseille, CNRS UMR 7288, Marseille, France

Fanny Mann leads the team « Axon plasticity in development and cancers » at the Developmental Biology Institute of Marseille (http://www.ibdm.univ-mrs.fr). Her research is focused on studying the mechanisms of neural wiring during brain development. In particular, her lab has provided insight into how neuronal axons transduce signals generated from Semaphorin guidance cues and how their responses vary according to the context. In recent years, she became interested in the role of axon guidance molecules in cancers and started investigating axonal plasticity during tumor development.
