EMBO LAB Management Course 2018

The Fellows recruited during the second year, and some of those Fellows recruited in 2016 who were unable to take part in the first event, joined the Second EMBO LAB Management Course. The training, organized at IGB Institute, provided students with tools to manage tensions between Time, Scope and Costs in the leadership and the management of a project. They practiced with a model that helps to evaluate the day-to-day communication and learn how to influence it beneficially while exploring the factors that may affect motivation. They worked in groups to learn about common sources of conflicts and strategies to deal with them thanks to the support and the teaching of Dr. CJ Fitzsimons and Dr. Petra Pandur.
