Using validated and well-characterized cellular models of dysfunctional adipose and immune cells &#8211; representative of the adipose tissue microenvironment in obese individuals &#8211; the study aims to elucidate how obesity-related soluble factors contribute to increasing malignancy of breast and thyroid cancers.
