I counted cells in cases and controls: how do I compare results? Introduction to the ANalysis Of VAriance (ANOVA)

The OBiLab provides on-site courses on computational/biomolecular topics for prospective and practicing students and researchers in the life sciences. We also support courses on demand, customized for the needs of attendees.

This 3 hours lesson will be dedicated to ANalysis Of VAriance (ANOVA).
ANOVA  is a collection of statistical models used to analyse the differences between group means and their associated procedures. It generalizes the t-test to more than two groups. The normal-based model will be introduced and possible alternatives to the classical ANOVA will be discussed for problems which do not satisfy the assumptions of ANOVA. The course will provide the theoretical background for understanding and applying ANOVA to laboratory experiments
