My research focuses on molecular mechanisms underlying cancer and metabolic diseases using integrative cellular, molecular, and omic approaches. Her work on anaplastic thyroid carcinoma focuses on adipogenic transdifferentiation via PPARγ agonists to counteract tumor aggressiveness and drug resistance, also exploring adjuvant drugs and lncRNA-based strategies to improve the efficacy of BRAF-inhibitors. She also examines diabetes- and obesity-related dysfunctions, focusing on the effects of methylglyoxal on retinal endothelial cells and the roles of PPARγ and its alternative isoforms in adipose tissue.
