Academic

The IGB offers an extensive range of educational activities, that includes undergraduate training, participation in PhD programs, post-doctoral training, and advanced courses.

The educational activity that we offer aims to help students to develop the skill-set they need to propel them into a successful research career.

We encourage trainees  to regularly attend courses and scientific seminars given by outstanding scientists. Weekly, IGB also organizes internal seminars  where trainees can take part to discuss their data. IGB also encourages trainees to engage in secondments abroad through its extended network of international scientific collaborations, an opportunity for networking and complementing their skills and expertises.

Training Programs

IGB participates in national and international PhD programs in collaboration with  Universities and Industries.

RENOIR is a European Training Network that aims to develop and implement a PhD programme in the field of muscle regeneration and aging. The RENOIR consortium is funded from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 860034

The PhD programme in Molecular Life Sciences is a joint doctorate of the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli and the National Research Council (CNR). The doctorate themes includes: cell biology, developmental biology, protein biochemistry, structural biology, molecular genetics, cancer research, microbiology and host-pathogen interactions, immunology, systems biology, computational biology, human genetics, stem cells.

The PhD programme in Translational Medicine of the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli proposes an interdisciplinary approach aimed at transferring the latest achievements of basic sciences to clinical practice.

The PhD programme in Biology at the Department of Biology of the University of Naples Federico II provides training in fundamental and applied research in all areas of Biology.

The IGB has a longstanding tradition of hosting undergraduate students as interns for their thesis work, in co-supervision and collaboration with several Universities in the Campania region.

We are pleased to provide students with an immersive, collaborative and inclusive environment, where they can gain practical experience on laboratory work. We foster interactions between pre- and post-graduate students, enabling them to contribute to the diverse research fields.
